My wife was petrified. She was a passenger on a plane that was flying without instruments and about to crash.
You see, she’d given up her career to be a mother, so we depended on my business for income. And we’d already lost everything once – our home, our life in paradise, and almost each other.
The problem was, I was scattered and overwhelmed. But when she suggested a business coach, I got defensive. Wasn’t this an attack on my manhood?
She helped me realize the truth: I COULD handle my business and my life myself. But a coach could help us get the life and business we wanted much faster. Plus, I was ragged – working massive hours and getting no real traction. So I hired David.
He quickly helped me prioritize my 3 and 6 month goals. Just as important, he’s helped me FOCUS on these goals, and to say “no” to all the shiny things that want to pull me off course.
I was getting bogged-down in the day-to-day running of the business, so David helped me take myself out of some of the decision loops and DELEGATE. And…
We just took a 3 week family vacation with no wifi access, and had our record month of sales!
I’m actually enjoying going to gym and picking kids up from school, instead of feeling guilty. It seems hard to believe, but the less hours I work, the easier everything is getting.
We’re having another baby (OK David doesn’t get credit for that), and next month we’re moving to Costa Rica to get back to paradise!
