Having to choose between the two, I prefer SERVANT because it makes a great contrast with WEALTHY. And knowing what I know about being of service, that would catch my attention.

I don’t like either of them either – though just “While you Sleep” might catch my attention, without all the other words – I found both titles too wordy.

I picked GYPSY. Home-Body is too not serious, not professional, staid, fuddy-duddy. My concern about Gypsy is that it means something to us, because we’ve been hearing it from you and doing calls about it. But will it communicate to someone who’s seeing it for seconds for the first time? I really don’t know. I’d really recommend that you keep looking with the phrase.

I agree with the others. I am not sold on either title. I picked Gypsy because of the subliminal thought of adventure over “couch potato”. Don’t know that I would pick either book.

While I choose Gypsy I don’t like it either. It’s a case of the lesser of two evils. Another down side to Gypsy is the negative first impressions for a European audience. i think you should go back to the think tank before trying either one in a dog and pony show. I would want you to have a negative judgment of the book based on the title on the cover.

I agree with both above… although I chose gypsy as lesser of two bad choices, I agree that it has negative connotations. homebody has very negative image to me. Servant is better than other two choices, but title still too long

Neither title appealed to me, but if I had to choose one I would choose the gypsy over servant. Servant conjurs up a visual of a slave. I did not like the idea of that. Both titles were not reflective of the energy and enthusiasm that is David Wood.

While neither title really appealed to me, i chose Gypsy … it says, “exciting”, “interesting”, “exotic”, “mysterious” as opposed to home body which sruck me as boring / uninteresting, etc.
My dislike of the choices is two-fold:

Non descriptive re the content

I’m not clear what is meant by gypsy vs. home-body, nor what it has to do with how you share what you know and love while you’re sleeping….. I picked gypsy because it’s not as mundane as home-body. But honestly, I don’t see the connection between the title and the ‘how to’ part. A wealthy home-body seems like a work from home type entrepreneur and a gypsy is…well…a nomad. It’s confusing.

Because it is one of the things I do best, I chose “How to Share What You Know and Love.” I think it covers a lot of ground, especially in the human services field. However, it would have been nice to have other title selections.

Well it think its unanimous. I didn’t like either myself. I chose Gypsy as Servant just doesn’t have a nice connotation to me. And I, too like the subtitle, but the two don’t seem congruent, so it confused me as to what the book is really about.

I agree with one of the people above who said they didn’t really like either title. I went with the Gypsy since there is an air of mysticism around Gypsys and if it was all about wealth, then there must be a connection of some kind to that mysticism, hey a whole new way to attract wealth, I’ll pick that one up.

I agree with most of the above comments. It was the better of two titles I didn’t really care for. I ended up chosing “Servant’ because it was more in alignment with the idea of service. However, my first image was of a servant in someones house. I think you might want to create titles to choose from .

David, I think I see what you are working toward with the titles but there are several disconencts. First, as many here mentioned, the connotation of both a servant and a gypsy is highly subjective based on your culture and experience. Second, the connection between the titles and the subtitle isn’t strong. A title should make me want to read on the subtitle (if there is one) should cinch the sale. The subtitle is appealing but not at all unique – I get at least one email a week saying they will teach me to do just that. So I voted for gypsy because I have a fondness for them (again, subjective based on culture and experience) but neither title or subtitle would cause me to pick up the book.

How about: ” I Hate Marketing – An Easy Alternative – How to Share What You Know and Love While You are Sleeping”
or “Forty Winks to Success – How to Share What You Know and Love While You are Sleeping”
or “While You are Sleeping – How to Share What You Know and Make Money on the Internet”

“Gypsy” is a power word…it connotes allure, mystery, and a certain freedom. Together with “Wealthy”, it will grab attention.

Some ethnic groups consider “gypsy” a slur. I think “nomad” might be a better word if you go that direction.
(I still think you can come up with something even better than what you’ve had so far!)

Hi David,
I voted for “Servant” as that is the idea and philosophy we should all have – to have the servant attitude – as did Jesus to his followers. Leadership (and coaching) does teach one to have such the attitude. To me, gypsy seems to represent one who may, or may NOT, be there “tomorrow.” Good luck!

I chose Gypsy, mainly because I have been called that half my life, so it would seem to be something I could relate more too. Although my life calling has seemed to be more in serving field.
For a title on a “how to” I would go more with doing what you love as others has said above.

“Gypsy” tends to have a negative connotation when presented to the masses, nomadic traits are often looked upon as irresponsible, afraid of commitment, etc. “Servant” isn’t a lot better, both words tend to illicit negative responses; however it is the less bad of the two. Alternate terms that have a higher appeal to the masses and may be worth considering are “the wealthy traveller”, “the wealthy life: how to share…”

I saw Wealthy Service (not “Servant” I went back and checked) and Wealthy Gypsy. The first makes no sense at all to me. I chose the second, but agree with the Nomad suggestion. Or, the wealthy hippie….but also feel neither is going to make any best seller list.
Not having been on your list long I don’t have the inside view of what’s in the book, but from what I gather it’s about coaching and marketing coaching.
Build on your previous titles? (I don’t know them). So here’s some duds for the Brainstorming pool.
The personal coach goes to marketing school. /Market your mouth/The exponential coach/Selling your advice /email them in your sleep/ Golden Advice /Love what you do-all the way to the bank/Helping others for fun and profit
If you just want to evoke the gypsy image how about:

I chose the “Gypsy” title because it sounded better than the “Service” title. I do take the point, though, that gypsy can be seen as having a negative connotation.
Frankly, at first glance I thought there were three different titles – “Wealthy Service’, “How to Share What You Know and Love” and “…While You’re Sleeping”. Then I realized that the latter two were a subtitle of the first. Really, I don’t like either title, and the subtitle is not connected at all to either title. Please try again and we will vote.
Maybe “Sharing What You Love Can Make You Wealthy”… or “How to Become Wealthy Sharing What You Love” or “How to Become Wealthy Doing What You Love” or “Wealth in Spades – Doing What You Love and Earning The Income You Want”…it’s late here and these are the best I can come up with on short notice but you will want to come up with some other titles than the ones you gave us to choose from.

I chose wealthy gypsy but neither title really grabbed me either.
While I am all for giving and all for being carefree, I think servant sounds menial and enforced while gypsy could sound irresponsible.
What about Sleep Your Way to Wealth.
Or Get Rich by Giving.

Gypsy is more appealing to the adventuress in me… but I would probably not buy the book based on either title. Good luck finding the right one.

I felt both titles were disjointed. I voted for the gypsy title but beware only in America is that something positive ~ the rest of the world views this group in a VERY negative way. (picture someone spitting at the thought of them) I learned the hard way being an American gypsy myself. Still our (American) notion of gypsies is far from the reality.

Voted for Wealthy Service but really didn’t like either title. Boring– and neither would “grab” me while I’m hurrying through the bookstore.

Both of these titles seem like 2 different themes…(I chose the Wealthy Gypsy)
If you are going for the freedom aspect of making money from anywhere perhaps :
“Have Laptop, Will Travel”
Or perhaps its from the be paid for who you are angle:
“Be You ~Everyone Else is Already Taken”
Or perhaps it is the service aspect that speaks most loudly to you:
“Get to Give ~ and Getting While You Give”
“Overflowing Heart, Overflowing Pockets”
“Service – The Ladder to Success”
“Marmalade Curry” – no particular reason for this one, it just came out

I do like the Wealthy Servant. Conjures Biblical impressions, being of service. Wait — Wealthy Steward? Stewardship — taking good care of what’s given to us?

I voted “Gypsy,” but really didn’t like either title. I liked the middle line of both titles, “How to share….”
FYI, it’s my understanding that the Romani (formerly called Gypsy) community as a whole considers ‘Gypsy’ to be a racial epithet. I forgot that until the moment after I voted; had I remembered earlier, I would have chosen the other title as the least worst.

Gypsy has somewhat negative connotations in the UK.
So, picked servant, but would prefer a different title.

I picked homebody because gypsy has a negative connotation. A wealthy gypsy probably is a professional thief! But I don’t like it either, Back to the drawing board, David!

Hi David, I chose GYPSY but like so many before me I would pass over both titles. Servant gave a connotation that you were still working for someone else – someone else controlled you – among other things. I chose Gypsy because I know you travel about a lot and I hope to myself but it wouldn’t be enough to get my interest interest in a bookshop. Also it is too long and passive. I was not necessarily inspired nor motivated by either title but would choose Servant over the two simply because that is a better description of where I am. Furthermore, I believe that choosing between Gypsy and Servant says more about the person making the choice than about their respective motivations to buy. There is also a disconnect between Servant and getting Wealthy while you sleep in my mind anyway…

Sorry David, but I wasn’t a fan of either of the original main titles (I picked home-body because gypsy has some negative connotations). However, home-body is a North-American term, something perhaps to think about if you’re trying to appeal to a more international audience?
Of your newer titles, David, I really like ‘Be You – Everyone Else is Already Taken’ although I’m not sure that it sells the idea you seem to be going for. Otherwise it’s ‘How to Become Wealthy Sharing What You Love’ which seems to have a nice mix of positivity and generating wealth.

Ditto…neither really works for me. I prefer “Gypsy” because I aspire to travel and be a bit of a nomad. But I chose “Home-body” because it matched the image of “While You Sleep.” They just seemed more congruent.

Without going into the deep semantics of the wording, the ‘gypsy’ title just catches the eye more…after all, a gypsy is pretty well known across the world, where as a homebody is a little more ‘American’, in my opinion.
The ‘Wealthy Gypsy’ just has a subliminal attraction…& conjures an emotional appeal straight off the bat

A bit like most others, I didnt really like either Gypsy or Servant. I picked Servant because as some others have mentioned, Gypsy has a more negative connotation coming from Scotland.
I was intrigued about “Home-body” – was that even a choice? Never heard the term before. I did like the “while you are sleeping” part and that did catch my attention.
Looking at your newer suggestions above – my favourite is the first one:
Wealthy Gratitude – how to share what you know and love while you are sleeping. Alternatively, for a shorter, more punchy title, how about:
Wealthy Gratitude – while you are sleeping.

I voted for Gypsy of the two, but after looking at comments here – I also like “servant” My most recent book buy was “The Servant” about leadership by James Hunter… and I think the title and subtitles sold me – I didn’t go in looking for that specific book. By the way, The Servant is awesome!

I chose Gypsy as being slightly better than the alternative – which I read as Service, not Servant. has it changed since the earlier posts? I agree that neither is perfect. Perhaps something in between the two ends of the spectrum that you have hear? Let us have some more ideas, David, to bounce back to you.

I like Servant over Gypsy. When I hear Gypsy I think of a person with all their belongings on a cart going from town to town trying to survive. When I hear Servant, I think of a person that helps others.

Then you could have us all give you our best book title…maybe you could make it a contest! One thing I know for sure…I would not pick up those titles in a store and take them home. I didn’t like either title. The impression I get is “If your lazy and want lots of money, I can show you some great internet marketing tricks so you can collect money while you sleep. It seems a more appealing title would just be as simple as
“Make money while you sleep” or “Effortless Wealth”
That’s great and has appeal for a lot of people I’m sure, however; My interest is creatiing abundance in all areas of my life, and having abundance flowing through my life effortlessly because I am aligned with Source vibration and living my purpose in life. You’d have to take a totally different approach to appeal to me.

I would agree with the comments on length and lack of real clarity of purpose. Hopefully, neither of these is the final one selected; I’m sure they would do a disservice to the good content you provide.

Unfortunately, David, I also would not pick up this book except for knowing your name and wanting to further read what YOU had put into print.
Words are “tools” I carefully choose to express as clearly as possible the “picture” that I want to “paint”. My intention is to share what I have learned, letting my audience take what they need and leave what does not resonate with them. My Joy is seeing the “a ha” moment in the audience I am sharing with, the knowing that in this moment this audience received through the words I used whatever gift needed to be shared in this moment. And with that “wordy” introduction I chose Gypsy because:
“Servant” equaled “Serving others for a Master” not “Serving a Master by sharing with Others” and
“Gypsy” equaled “Freedom to share…” but I could not erase the word’s negative impression of cheating the audience.

What image in your picture did you want to paint with the phrase “While You’re Sleeping”? Is your audience tired?

Like much of the feedback neither title grabbed my attention, I liked the While you sleep bit, however the first bit needs some more consideration. Unfortunately I could come up with anything better and I not sure the other suggestions made inspired me either. “THE” title is out there thought happy searching.:)

Abundance Flows While You Sleep – A Wealthly Gypsy tell all.
Home-body makes it sound like it’s easy – the lazy person’s dream (couch potato) … and let’s face it.. to start – it’s not easy.

I didn’t like either title either. I just found Gypsy more objectionable and you did not give an option for not choosing either. hmmmm….
The basic title has been done, overcooked, stale, burnt, and carbonized as bad as all the sales copy everyone uses online with the narrow pages that scroll forever and give you carpal finger syndrome by the time you get to the ‘special offer’ at the bottom.
Get my point? I’m a visionary you know!

Servant seemed old and/or “new age”, which is again, kinda old and a bit of a turn-off to me.
Gypsy has some mystery to it, which I like.
In either case, “while you sleep” didn’t intrigue me or make me curious, it was just a “huh?”, which could work or not in terms of getting people to pick up the book. It really needs “share……. and make money, even while you sleep!” which I agree may be kinda long.

While I was not fond of either title, I chose Service as I consider myself a service provider versus a gypsy. What I really liked was the idea of making money while you sleep – don’t we all. Isn’t that now called passive income stream. Let me know when the book is published!!!

I see the real question was servant or gypsy. I too was attracted by the “while you sleep” I am an advocate regarding dreams but as coaches we are here to be of service to others – gypsy seems to me like using some sort of crystal ball – whereas coaching is down to earth.

I chose the first one because “neither” was not an option. I agree with most of the others in saying that we know you can do better. You are an awesome communicator. Honestly though, I wouldn’t pick up either one. I’d go more for something like, “Green Dreams: How to make money while you’re sleeping”, or “Wealthy Dreaming: The art of making money while you sleep.” I do like the making money while you sleep aspect of the title. Looking forward to seeing the finished title and product. Blessings to all.
