    David,

EXCELLENT post and video. I sent it to friends on e-mail who are definitely undercover coaches. I was an undercover coach for years (scored a 7 out of 7 on your test) and now I get the opportunity to coach and receive income, which is a beautiful thing!

    Thank you!!!!

    Hi David,
I must say AWESOME video. I am attracted to your style of coaching. I scored 7 out of 7. I must confess, I am almost finished with a Master’s program and am looking for the right mentor. I have signed up for many would be coaches just to find that their number one goal was to sell a product and teach me how to market on twitter, face-book and other network sites. I am really interested in the mechanics of coaching. Marketing and business know how I already possess. My burning question is how to execute the training session. I want to specialize in the temperaments as the basis for our actions. Your input is highly regarded.

I did 7 out of 7 on the 1 minute test.

    Thank you David,

It’s amazing how everything happens when it’s supposed too. I have spent thousands and thousands on coaching and self development and always waited for someone to ask me to be a coach. This past spring I started a website… which isn’t published yet as well as an unpublished book – soon to be complete. Then started to doubt whether I had anything to offer until I looked around and realized how many people surrounded me, confiding, asking direction and more.

I will print up the business cards finish the site which is mainly information, which I will include your link. I think and feel it would contribute greatly to my own growth and look forward to the opportunity to help others even in what I feel are the simplest ways.

It’s always amazing to me when I find someone struggling so hard and yet they’ve never meditated, manifested purposefully, or even discovered what their true desires and passions are.

Thank you – this was truly an answer to last nights discussion with Source.

My score 6 out of 7.

Question: How do you move from being the “undercover coach” to being paid for what you offer?

Oh my, I answered yes to every question, and laughed very, very hard at the last one, about spending money on personal growth. I think I spent a thousand US dollars in the last YEAR. I look forward to reading the 50 power questions. I saw your profile on Xing.com and was intrigued. Can’t wait to hear more! I will keep you posted and check in with you.

    Peace,

    Shalom David!

    Score: 5.5-6/7

I am a teacher (20+ years), have lectured internationally, and authored a well-received book (on private prayer).

Question: How does one used to “shying away from the spotlight” self-promote without feeling demeaned?

    Keep up the good work.

    Hello David,

My score is 7. I was a bank manager until last year (got out just in time!!!) and had done various management roles before that for 14 years, had 2 kids, values etc changed dramatically, was very unhappy in the ‘rat race’ and wanted to be at home with the kids.
After exploring what it was I loved about the role, I embarked on a journey to become a Life and Business coach. I wanted the flexibility to work from home when I wanted to.
I qualified as an NLP practitioner and am currently completing an advanced diploma in life coaching. Just came across your site month or so ago and it has been fantastic for me, just what I needed, clear guidelines on how to get started and some great tips.
My question is this, how do you deal with still being a great inspirational coach when you’re having a hard time in your own life.
I have up and down days. Some days I feel I am going to be an amazing coach and need to get out there, other day I have low self esteem and wonder what the hell I am doing. I should add, I was diagnosed with PND after my 2nd child and am in counseling just now.
I really want to get my business going, but I worry about my ability to commit if things get difficult with me.

    Thanks xx

    Dear David,
My score is 7. I teach voice & piano, sound energy, and recently created a Human Tornado Energy program. I suspect that this can become huge, but kind of overwelmed on how to do this on internet and whether it even possible.
My favorite way to teach is face to face, so I thought about using Skype for out of town clients.
I am also quite intuitive, and known to foresee events, read people faces, for other people successfully. What do you think?
Really like what you do! Ella

    Dear David,

As I am more of a sportscoach I answered yes to 6 of the questions.
I had this brilliant idea of being an online riding instructor a few months ago.
Had the website made but only getting “lookers” and no subscribers, even for the two weeks free.( Your idea!! ).
I have to make a newsletter etc.
Would like to hear what I can do more, or any idea’s!
Do you think it is too much work to make a video?

    Regards Dinja.

Score 6.5. (My main profession is unrelated, but I have some very part-time work where I occasionally get to do something related.)
I knew my score would be high before watching the video.

My specific interest is in coaching people who are trying to figure out how they can help create positive social change in the world, work for which they might well never be paid. My main question is whether you think there’d be a market for that kind of coaching, particularly in these economic times? (I’m in the U.S.)

    Dear David,
I just watched your undercover coach video, I answered 7 yes’s to your questions. I am a massage therapist, and Reiki practitioner by profession, by background a medical doctor. In my healing sessions – some cry, some get inspired, some see something they haven’t seeing it before, and we always have the conversations about life and what works. It does amazes me – how clients walking in for getting body work done – end up being a friends, and thanking me for what I provide for them. I love listening to people, and seeing what would be available – if they can see who they are from my view or have a different perspective on life. Same thing with friends, many of my clients who became good friends – told me I will be a great life coach. Often people make remarks – I am happy and they like to have what I have(not talking anything financial). last year I created Life style coaching for myself, shared with many friends and clients – who was totally inspired that I finally taking step toward what I love and then, discouraged myself out of doing so. I have been investing for myself in Self growth and development for past 7 years, have done many courses and coaching agreements throughout the programs on volunteer basis.
My biggest fear – how get started, and where to get clients.
I appreciate your amazing share and contribution, it’s very inspiring watching and listening to you. THANK YOU.

Look forward to hear from you.

    best regards, Khatira Aboulfatova

    I received a 6 out of 7.

Currently I am looking up vistaprint. I want to know the most about starting out as a young professional life coach. I am excited to start my life career this way. What are some of your tips? What are the best ways to connect to others who need the coaching? Who are the best resources?

    Thanks,
    Amy

    7 out of 7!

But I’m already a coach 🙂 I have my business cards already printed (with VistaPrint) and a nice list of clients. In fact, David, you were (and still are) my inspiration when I started my coaching career in Spain.

    Thank you very much!
