The following is an excerpt of one of David\u2019s coaching sessions in Top Coaching Techniques<\/a>.<\/p>\n

David: \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Yes! It\u2019s just coming to me some of the things that are going to become obvious just to throw in there – an upgrade special. You know, \u2018I wanted to let you know we\u2019ve got an upgrade special this month.\u2019 That might go out in the third letter that they get. If, instead of a half page or full page, you get a two-page spread.<\/p>\n

Client:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 That\u2019s a very good point.<\/p>\n

David: \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 As you know, it\u2019s so much easier than getting a new sale.<\/p>\n

Client:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 That\u2019s a good call, a very good call. I like it.<\/p>\n

David: \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Great.<\/p>\n

Client:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Yeah, thanks for that. They\u2019re good ideas and you\u2019re right about the customer relationship management system, because if you don\u2019t do that, you tend to just blunder on – making sales, making sales – and not following up on the sales you\u2019ve got.<\/p>\n

David: \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Then you lose the referrals, or you could lose a customer in the end, plus you lose your extensions. What you want is to make it so easy. When they go to renew, it\u2019s like, \u2018Oh, you know, I only want to work with people who are keeping touch with me every now and then, and who are handling stuff so that I don\u2019t have to think about it.\u2019<\/p>\n

Client:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Yeah, good call.<\/p>\n

David: \u2018 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 If they sold to me and I don\u2019t hear from them again, it\u2019s like every day I have to wonder if this was a good idea.\u2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
