The following is an excerpt of one of David\u2019s coaching sessions in Top Coaching Techniques<\/a>.<\/p>\n

David: Hey, not everyone wants to be around me all the time. In fact, most don\u2019t. They just want to be around me sometimes.<\/p>\n

Client: Yeah.<\/p>\n

David: So there\u2019s this whole thing about the concept of loving yourself, and I think most of us don\u2019t. I think I\u2019m even still getting there. There are things about us that we just think are wrong. Now, the fact is, it\u2019s not true. Anything about myself that I think I can criticize… Are you a religious person?<\/p>\n

Client: Oh yeah, kind of.<\/p>\n

David: OK, so let\u2019s use the concept of God. You know God loves all of us. Why shouldn\u2019t we? Who are we, if God says, \u2018Look, you\u2019re you and you\u2019re magnificent\u2019, then who are we to say, \u2018No, I\u2019m not\u2019?<\/p>\n

Client: Yeah, true.<\/p>\n

David: That\u2019s really, actually, quite obnoxious. It\u2019s arrogant to say, \u2018You know, my lack of confidence is a real problem, God. I shouldn\u2019t have that. That sucks and I\u2019m going to try and fix it every day.\u2019 You know what I mean?<\/p>\n

Client: Yes. Okay. That sounds good.<\/p>\n

David: So at some point you\u2019ll have this. You\u2019ll have it from time to time, and then you\u2019ll forget it and just go \u2018Ah, I\u2019m not going to give that any energy anymore, because it\u2019s okay. I can be unconfident\u2019. At some point it\u2019ll be appropriate for you to have more confidence.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
