{"id":1639,"date":"2012-09-09T12:00:34","date_gmt":"2012-09-09T18:00:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/life-coaching-resource.com\/blog\/?p=1639"},"modified":"2012-02-06T15:48:53","modified_gmt":"2012-02-06T21:48:53","slug":"getting-people-to-hear-you-speak","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.life-coaching-resource.com\/blog\/getting-people-to-hear-you-speak\/","title":{"rendered":"Getting People To Hear You Speak"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The following is a transcription taken from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.explodeyourpractice.com\/\">Explode Your Practice<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>My coach gave me this.\u00a0 What you do before any speech, you see, there\u2019s three ways to sell to people.\u00a0 And only one of them is during the speech.<\/p>\n<p>The first way you do it, is you get an agreement that they will send out an e-mail or a letter to every single member of their organization from you inviting them to come for the talk.\u00a0 Now, they\u2019ll love that because they want everyone to participate.\u00a0 And you write it for them.\u00a0 Then they send it out on an e-mail that probably gives them your website, they can subscribe to your newsletter, all sorts of things.<\/p>\n<p>So instead of getting in front of the 20 people who come to your speech, you get in front of 200.\u00a0 Then they come to your speech, and they\u2019ve already heard from you so, you\u2019ve already built a relationship with them, you talk to them, you get the form, they can fill something in, when you\u2019ve got product, you can sell them that.\u00a0 And then, you offer in the agreement of the company right up front, that you send them a thank you, and maybe a resource.\u00a0 Here are the notes, here are the top ten list from our speech, I encourage you to follow-up on it, enjoy, blah, blah, blah.<\/p>\n<p>If you need further information, here is my website.\u00a0 You can buy this, or if you haven\u2019t already got my newsletter, do this, blah, blah, blah.\u00a0 So it\u2019s really simple for the company.\u00a0 You know, I can do it for 500, and here\u2019s what I suggest how we do it.\u00a0 Then you know, I send the e-mail out first, we do the speech, and you send you send out an e-mail at the end.\u00a0 If they agree to that, that\u2019s worth discounting for.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The following is a transcription taken from Explode Your Practice.
