Here are three possible sources for your initial testimonials:<\/p>\n

Your Friends and Colleagues<\/strong><\/p>\n

Given you want to become a certified coach; chances are you have already helped people in your past.\u00a0 Obvious roles are where you have mentored someone, managed someone, counseled someone, or simply given a friend support, encouragement, or advice which really helped to move them forward.\u00a0 Don\u2019t you think it\u2019s likely this friend or colleague would be happy to support you by jotting down how you helped them?\u00a0 Even better, offer a coaching session so they become one of your very first coaching clients\u2026<\/p>\n

Your Very First Coaching Clients<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is not rocket science <smile>.\u00a0 Call a friend and say, \u201cHey \u2014 I need some testimonials.\u00a0 I\u2019ll coach you for a month for free on XXXXX.\u00a0 All you need to do is give me an honest couple of paragraphs at the end on how it was for you\u201d.<\/p>\n

Past Clients<\/strong><\/p>\n

Financial planners, teachers, consultants, therapists and trainers are examples of people who may be able to get testimonials from their past or current client base.\u00a0 It will most likely not mention coaching, but \u201cThank you Jan, for helping me get my finances in order,\u201d or \u201cThank you John, for your help with my relationship \u2014 you\u2019ve certainly made a difference,\u201d\u00a0 are very powerful statements.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
