{"id":1237,"date":"2012-03-11T12:00:41","date_gmt":"2012-03-11T18:00:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/life-coaching-resource.com\/blog\/?p=1237"},"modified":"2012-02-01T15:12:49","modified_gmt":"2012-02-01T21:12:49","slug":"what-is-coaching","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.life-coaching-resource.com\/blog\/what-is-coaching\/","title":{"rendered":"What is Coaching?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The following is an excerpt from the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.coachstart.com\/\">CoachStart Manual<\/a>.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Coaching is essentially a conversation between a coach and his or her client, starting with the aim of helping the client to live a fulfilling life.\u00a0 This is most often achieved by helping the client:<\/p>\n<p>(a)\u00a0\u00a0 Set goals that will add significantly to your client\u2019s life (or as I like to say, and \u2018put a BIG smile on your face\u2019).<\/p>\n<p>(b)\u00a0\u00a0 To achieve those goals.<\/p>\n<p>In this way, coaching can be broken down into two halves and this is a great way to communicate coaching to prospective clients.<\/p>\n<p>You may also help the client live a more fulfilling life by helping them to increase their level of self-awareness.
