support teleclass for holiday blues?

support teleclass for holiday blues?

Posted by David Wood |

As my emotions go up and down through the holidays, I’ve
realized I’m not the only one.

Many of us have challenges in the best of times. But with
the economy the way it is, and the holidays upon us,
I’m wondering if a little support for us all is in order?

Should we have a teleclass to connect around the world,
share our challenges and remind us what we’re each
grateful for?

I’m thinking 4pm Eastern (NY time) Christmas Eve…
(and yes, with recording available)

Please post your thoughts and appetite here on the blog.

Love David

    Hi David-
I also think that it is a great idea for a teleconference call, and will not be able to be on the call. I look forward to the recording. Also, I am interested in getting my coaching credentials finished. Can I do that through you?

A lovely idea, but I am unable to attend the time posted. Another good time would be before New Years. Monday/Tuesday. I hope the recording will be available anyway for those of us that can’t make it. And Merry Christmas to all

I think the call is a good idea for those who are alone or feeling down. However, I’m busy with family at that time (celebrating Haunkkah). I’m feeling really great right now and some of it is due to you David, so I want to say thank for your generosity with all your free marketing materials. Reading and listening since Sept., and putting your ideas into practice, we stepped up our marketing, launched Afterglow Coaching for people over 55, and are revising our website, using many of your suggestions. As a result our income is up this year, when so many others are down. Bless you for all your generous sharing of knowledge! May you find YOUR heart’s desire in the coming year. I would participate in a goal-setting call early in January, if you have one. Happy Holidays!
    With gratitute,
    Rosalie

I think it is a lovely idea. This year is especially tough for a lot of people. Usually Christmas is my favorite time of the year, but this year my Christmas Spirit has yet to show itself. Just haven’t been able to feel the Holiday Spirit. So it would be wonderful to connect with others and raise our vibrations and feel that wonderful connection.

I celebrate Christmas- the birth of the Savior of the World, Jesus Christ, NOT Xmas.

If you’re depressed, the first thing to do is to turn OFF the tv and quit listening to the telecasts and reading the news of the fearmongers. Turn to God and read His Word.

He will take care of His people, but for those who don’t know Him there is indeed plenty to worry about…

    Hi David,
It’s a wonderful idea but living in Nice-France, the schedule is not perfect for me (full night).
However I wish to all of you a very good end a year and beautiful christmas.
I send you a lot of positive feeling.
    Warm regards. Joël.

yes, christmas time is a time when we get ´blue´for a good reason. A child is born, a mother who is shamed looks on, and the reason he is on the earth is to be torn and crucified to clean our slate before the face of God.
Its big, big spiritual stuff. Dont run from your need to consider greater things than yourself – this is the time to sit in the fire and feel. The reading following Christmas is the stoning of St Peter for standing up for christianity. Are you ready to stand up for your belief this Christmas?
Conisider embracing what this season asks of you in your networking. I will be doing just this, in readiness for the new year and hoping next year I will be a fuller more beautiful person. It is a time to be brave and honest.

I think the conference would be great for those who are available to attend. Definitely if I did not have children I would want some other outlet during the holidays and once the gifts are opened and the kids are busy with their new things I may well attend the conference. I won’t know until that day and time. I will try to attend though.

just what we need more of! I am planning to host a call early January to realign energetically so seems like we are all tapping into the same source.
The beauty of these times are that it is making people turn inward and be selective as to what to invest in, and I feel self reflection is a high priority on that list.
So to be a guiding light for others it is crucial for all of us to stay inspired and lift our vibrations.
One of the things I always do on New year’s Eve is to make a list of at least 100 things I am grateful for from the past year. And then I write out my intentions for the new year.
It’s an amazing energy booster and also a lot of fun to reflect on later in the year!

I am in Perth and enjoying the sunshine and beach so not sure if I’ll be up at that hour but will surely enjoy listening to the recording.
Good on you David, for keeping the flow going, and wishing you and everyone here many joyful blessings and much love,
    Tina

I also think it is a great idea, but like many of the posts, I will be on the road Christmas eve. However, for those that are not out and about it may be the perfect thing just for the reasons you listed in your post. My two cents sez go for it!

I think it’s a well-intentioned idea and with as large an audience as you have, it should work. A colleague and I tried to hold similar classes and got no responses whatsoever. I still think the need is there, though.

I think you are such a sweet man! You are a powerful leader and you are so kind and gentle with such a big heart! I am busy with family and tend to be okay around the holidays but I know that many are not. If you do have a call and I find myself missing my father (who’s birthday is on Christmas and who passed away), I’ll hop on the call. God bless you, David Woods!!!!

I’m not sure what we’ll be doing. Everything is so disjointed this year, plus, we’re supposed to be snowed in again. I think we’ll be baking cookies around that time. If you don’t mind us baking in the background, we’ll mute and listen in.

    Hi Christie,
if there are enough requests we could have another. Although my instinct is to hold a NY Resolutions/2009 Goals Call in early Jan – perhaps this could serve a similar purpose for you.

I hope you’ll listen to the recording.

If it wasn’t Christmas Eve, I would be there! This is a hard time of year for me. I am divorced and have been for over 15 years. My mom, who was my best friend and with whom I shared a house, died last year right after Christmas. I have relocated and am trying to get my business jump started in the new locale. This would be just what the doctor ordered for me. Do you think we could have another at a later date? I would be there!

I think it’s a super idea David! I won’t be able to be on the call but will look forward to reviewing it later. With the economy tanking as it is, and just general holiday blues – this call could be what I need to “re” jump-start my coaching career! Best of holiday wishes and safety to you and your family! (And to all reading these comments 🙂 Happy New Year! Love to all, Janee’

Fantastic idea David, I would love to join the call. I think with all that has gone on in the economy ~ and having a “very different” Christmas this year than those past, it would be helpful to have the support of like-minded folks to count our blessings and start off our New Year with positive intentions and good vibes!
    Count me in!

I’d be interested – my husband passed away unexpectedly at the early part of the year. (Part of my reason at looking at becoming a life coach.)

This is my first holiday in 22 years without him. Yet, I have much to be grateful for and need to be reminded of it. 🙂
