    Thank you for all the coaching and info resources you make available.
    I’ve just started watching the 1st vid and soon as I am done, I’m moving to the next one. I hope you will leave them longer than 11 days? ..

    My answer to your question, is really my question? What can I do to draw (on a very slim budget.. very slim.. ) people to my business, through the internet and otherwise, without promotional expenses?? My ideas are focused on counseling (experienced) and coaching since my passion is to want to improvve the quality of peoples lives. Thanks for all you do and those at Solutiion Box.

    I am really excited about this, David! I’ve been working on my coaching website all afternoon, and this was the shot in the arm I needed. Thank you for anticipating the needs of those of us who are new to coaching.

    My number one question is regarding the internet marketing aspect of growing my practice. It seems daunting. (But it’s the ONLY thing that seems daunting to me!)

    I am excited about your future product launch. I have been very impressed with your generosity and the practical application steps you provide. I am looking forward to learning more about starting from scratch because that is where I am at.

    What I would like to know? – I love the fact that you asked us that question, what good does it do for me to develop a product if no one wants it? I want to coach men on the idea of one fundamental question – Are you living a life worth remembering? The guys I talk to find the question thought provoking and challenging, but I am not sure they would be willing to be coached on that topic – What are some ways that I can get input like you are doing with your upcoming launch without a large database to work from? – like you must have.

    My target date for my own site is April 3. However, I do have a client with a very developed website that recently experienced lack of conversion, and this is clearly why.

    There was a press leak of their beta content launch in conjunction with a major search engine site. We saw a spike in traffic from visitors in the tens per day, to visitors in the millions, literally overnight. We did not see the conversion and we did not have this feature page on arrival.

    I do intend to call their webmasters and correct the omission. Thanks!

    I love the fact that you mention about borrowing someone elses product while you still setting yourself up. It really make sense to get off the ground just a little quicker.
    The greatest challenge for me however is that I’ve never set up a website before and thats a bit intimidating for me.

Having done public speaking for and business training for many years, I realize the importance of being relivent and and having clients know that I know exactly (1st hand knowledge) and what they mean when they ask “do you know what I mean”

    I am most excited about increasing my revenue through what I am passionate about. I understand a bit about web development, however attracting traffic and retaining attention and gaining revenuet from visitors is a challenge for me. Most of our clients come from client referrals (word of mouth) rather than the internet.

    how to monetise the web…how to get people to pay for things they can usually do for themselves for free…eg..make web movies?..get a mac!

    the knowledge is ‘out there’ but getting paid for the service becomes the tricky bit
    free on the web is one thing…getting the commit is the other

    I have completed 6 of the 7 steps. The one that is left – adding a coaching stream to my online business – is both the most exciting and the most challenging. I do full-time consulting/coaching offline but have not transferred these skills to online yet.

    I’ve been getting your emails for years now, and regularly find several little gems within your written and spoken word. Many thanks.
    There are a few challenges I have with setting up on the web: Firstly programme layouts and links within a site. If I am struggling here, I am sure many others are.
    Do you have advise on website programmes one can pick up and use. I (we) need something quick and easy to use that will have a format in place, into which we can fill in our specialist components, and know that everything is linked together and we can refer to without trying to “find” things and have the need to duplicate entries of details etc. We would like to be able to offer free segments of information (as you do!!!) which will build a contact/user base as well as encourage people to buy tutoring and coaching information specific to their needs as well as receiving inspiration. As well, we would like to present and sell my artwork .
    On our established website, we do not have a purchasing opportunity. I need advice on this to ensure we get a safe and efficient process which is interfaced with our site information. I have no desire to spend more than necessary time at the computer….preferring more time doing the art, tutoring and preparing programmes to put on the computer.
    We (my sister and I who have the joint website) both have limited finances now we are “retired” so try to do everything as economically as possible.
    I believe we need more links and opportunities to reach a bigger market.
    Looking forward to more “gems” from you and motivation to revisit what we already have in place to make it more effective, productive and beneficial to all.

    Well done and well framed.

    Clearly the most exciting step for me is finally putting fingers to keyboard and articulating my unique talent, vision and focus. Translating how my passion and commitment and process can translate and be of value to my clients. It has been years in germination, but I only recently arrived at a level of focus and clarity to actually make Step 1 happen.

    I think the most challenging step is actually identifying someone else’s product and being in a position to close the commission deal, without knowing how and what I have to leverage in terms of traffic or actual potential referrals (Step 6). But I also have no sense of the receptivity of other providers to my offering their cotent or products, so I remain open to the possibilities/opportunities.

    I get the simplicity and scaling of your approach to how I engage with this process; and, I also appreciate the achieveability based on a newsletter’s definition not requiring mass and length, or a web site not needed more than 4 pages to get started and engaged.

    I recently visited an accupunturist and good friend of mine who had just put up her first site which she had done herself with a little help from a young web master sourced from Craigs List. This after going through some real hell with web development firms, hustlers and false starts; and lo and behold, it was elegant, clean, simple, compelling, and also, only 4 pages. I was very impressed, but now I understand why.

    what I need the most is a good Content management system, to create a clear structure where to land my content.

    Then develop my newsletter and communication with my users.

    Then time management skill to become more productive and be able to develop all the free resources I want to give away.

    My business is a non-profit organization. I have a website, and we are 501 (3) (c), but I need to build an email list that is directed toward potential donors, and one also for those who would use and benefit from our services. Got any ideas or suggestions? I think if we could get the message out there, support would not be a problem. It’s just getting the message into the right hands.

    Yes! Total agreement here, David. You are absolutely the best! I”ve had negative interactions with other online coaches that are simply out to fleece people, and I am just constantly impressed with your sincerity. My questions echo the ones about choosing “the right message that people want and will respond to” out of many ideas without being “cliche” and how to develop that mail list from scratch without unethical tactics and then also how to set up a management system that minimizes the time put into developing newsletters, emails, etc. My niche is Crone Aged Women (aka: Post menopausal and personal/life change phase). A big and unaddressed population that is challenging to reach.

    I really appreciate your generosity and willingness to be of help to others. I especially appreciate your genuineness. There are way too many hype it up sales people out here. Which brings me to my question. How do I get people to take a look at my products without becoming a phony, hype it up type? My style is pretty laid back and I want to be able to fit my marketing program with who I am. I am simply not willing to compromise that to make a buck.

    I found your information very interesting. How do you build the email list and then engage people/market people to utilize your coaching service?     Thanks for your generous gift. I am interested in gong beyond developing an email list to doing what it takes to truly connect with potential clients so that they actively (not passively) want more of what I have to offer.     Ok, I’ve built my website, I’ve tuned it and optimised it, I’ve checked the copy so it’s motivating people to act. I have my database ready to populate. Now… how do I find out what my niche wants to hear (and subsequently buy). The problem I have is that I ask the questions (on social sites, etc) but all I get is apathy. Is there a system I can use to motivate people to tell me what they want.

    My biggest question: How to get paying customers on my list. I’ve got plenty of takers for the freebies, but when I try to sell them something they unsubscribe (or, worse, complain.) Well, some of them anyway.

    Excellent question. I need to know how to build a list and keep their interest. This needs to be done rather inexpensively as the budget shrinks each time I purchase another of these fantastic worthless ideas that come around.

    David,

    I have spent the last year developing a clear picture of what I want to promote/convey/offer the world. I am finally ready to develop: my website, content, mailing lists. Do you have a “recommended” bundle of applications/service providers for doing the above and a map or graphic or picture of how those pieces fit together in terms of functionality to deliver a great result. I have watched your sites and mailings and promotions develop over the years with tremendous appreciation for your own evolution and mastery of the medium and it would be invaluable to get a Reader’s Digest of the mechanics/technology choices involved.

    Secondly, I have a clear idea of the content and video material I would like to feature. What is the profile or specs recommended in the creation of that content so that it is most efficiently translated to web site, blog, email lists, etc. so that the wheel does not have to be reinvented over and over from a file format or bandwidth standpoint?

    I would like to thank you for all you have provided over the years, and for your generosity of spirit in being open, accessible and completely forthcoming with insight and expertise.     How do I automate something that I feel can’t automate? I can lead them to the well but I can’t make them drink. I think I need to have a compelling story that let’s them take a step in the right direction and build form there. Eventually leading to the well and by that time the relationship is strong enough that taking a drink is second nature.

    AWESOME CONCEPT DAVID,

    I have just recently…finally “jelled” with my niche, gone back and forth
    with my who and what for the longest time. I think my niche is pretty unique
    (I’ve never seen it out there but, I may not have come across it). I would want to ask how I could automate what I do… I like so many others have
    TONS of WONDERFUL, MARKETABLE, ideas etc. but, I am completely stumped
    on where and how to get to the next level for that SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS
    LIFESYLE. By the way, hope you are enjoying your new home. I can see (from the video) that you’ve settled in a bit.

    David – great video and question. I have seen every internet marketing program out their it seems. Guys making it big on selling “How to make it big on the internet.” I need to know how others are successfully doing my kind of business; helping others through my book, “Surviving Bipolar’s Fatal Grip,” website info, http://www.survivingbipolar.com, and http://www.thebipolarcoach.com services.

    I want to get my message out to the masses and make money to pay for the effort and to allow me to do this and pay the bills. I would pay a lot if someone would guarantee some sort of result; a real result and not just hype.

    First of all… thanks for providing these resources so generously.

    By the way….. the link contains an extra ‘h’, which I think made it really funny… tinyHurl instead of just tinyurl…

    My question is this. I have some material and contents I have developed as part of a seminar I developed a few years back. I wonder how important it is to have all in place at the same time = do I wait w publishing my products (newsletter, e-book, CDs/recordings etc) until the whole package is in place. Part of my concern is if someone ‘takes’ my material. For now I have the basic process/program structure in place, but not the complete workbook and program.

    Since I live on 2 continents I am definitely also interested in learning more about how to rely on the internet to get clients. My ideal situation is to make most of my income from product sales and advertising via my website, and secondary from giving seminars and group coaching wherever I happen to be. But not sure how realistic that is since I will have to work and get know on at least 2 markets.

    I’m so new at this: I don’t have a webiste up and running yet. I don’t know enough to know what I don’t know. I think my most burning question right now is how to do this correctly so that it works and is not a wast of time and money.

    Great video launch! I’m looking forward to the upcoming videos and ultimately the new product launch. What I most need to know is the best type of copy i.e. buzz words, etc… to place on my website or email grabber that will encourage people to sign up!

What kind of budget (monthly $$) do I need to get my message out to more audiences – auto-responder programs, newsletters, download programs, website, blogs, etc.? Do I need to have all my products finished before I start marketing them or do I just need some of them ready?

    Great to see the machine that is David Wood working as you teach by example, buddy! I’d like to know the best and most up to date Web 2.0 solutions to internet marketing. It seems to me that much of the internet marketing world has the same “look and feel” and I’d love for things to look more savvy and less “template.”

    David – I love how generously you share with people. Thank you. My number 1 question: I have ideas whirring away all the time. How to I work out which of these can be turned into something that will generate an income and make a difference to people who purchase them. I also would like to understand more about working globally using the web – I feel totally out of my depth with technology, and its difficult to get expert help as I don’t know how to brief them on what I need!!!!

Second, the question I would ask you right now is: When an entrepreneur is starting a new business, in a new niche, from scratch, with no list, how do they secure joint ventures with experts who can offer something to their (the entrepreneur’s) target audience – that is, once it starts growing?
