I really would like to help women, especially with finding their purpose in life, what makes them happy (for instance what work they should pursue). I think that women are often raised and encouraged to give up their own goals and desires for family, spouses, kids, etc… I think women are often too afraid to try for what they want/need.
    How would I narrow that?

What do you do if your niche is not a highly sought after keyword, i.e. mental strength coach for top performers.

Hey David . . . Creating a niche is kind of like putting a label on yourself and making it easy for others to remember you, isn’t it?

Also, if you say “No” to someone, shouldn’t you do everyone a favor and refer them to one of your associates? Hopefully down the road, your associate will work to repay you the favor.

Can a niche be too narrow or too broad? If it is either, what might be the potential consequences of doing so?

Is this too narrow a target:
I work with women who are struggling to overcome a sugar addiction. ??

    Or is this narrow enough:
I work with busy adults to help them eat healthy, energize, and de-stress?

I’m about to launch a membership program for Internet Business Starters/Owners who have had trouble taking action. I am providing full action plans for business, coaching, mastermind groups, and lot of other resources…. AND, one of the key features is that I provide is that included in your membership is a a certain number of hours from a Virtual Assistant to help you take action.

SO>>> The question is… what do you think about that? Do you have advice on targeting? And if you think this is viable?

    Thanks again!

Already enjoying public speaking and counseling. I would love to explore more corporate and executive coaching. We are lining a business group up for 2009. Your material is great and I look forward to working with your organization as we navigate to our achievement date on our goals.

WOW! My Visa transaction not even completed for the 100 day challenge and I am already being pressured into another purchase for $39. I understand the sales(emotional predator)strategy, but my gut feeling is not good on this. Are there any ethics in this. Let me achieve results 1st and I’ll be glad to spend more. BTW, I am already a multimillionaire so it’s not about the money.

I do not want to create time for something that’s not ethical.

    David,
I have been following you for over a year and I must say you have really come a long way. It is so exciting to see people’s growth! Kudos to you.
This challenge sounds like a great way to get a new coach going.
I have more clients that I can personally handle right now. I have raised my prices substantially and still I am booked.
The key to success in coaching is to really niche. Specialize instead of generalize. Specialists always garner higher fees.
I am going to be moving my practice into a teleconference arena so that I can reach more people at one time, leveraging my time better. Although, I will always do private one on ones because that is what I love to do.
Good luck to all of you who are up to the challenge.
