Hi Dave Read about your cleaning up act re the signs. Absolutely refreshing and a brave thing to do. A far more authentic way to do away with the skeletons than write & burn method etc! Thanks for sharing this.

Your article is excellent!
It is a helpful technique to help anyone needing to get relieved of those emotional burdens that bother the daily life, beginning with ourselves.
Thank you very much for sharing it.

Hello all,
I think everything that you can repair before dying is the best thing you could do for yourself and the ones you love.
The consequences are not always bad things, the bad is what you do with the information you received and your first impression of frustration.
It is something very difficult to do and that is why is so precious action.
It allows you to clean up, forgive yourself, understand and live with the truth. Do you want to live in the truth or in the deception?

regards,
María.

I agree that if coming clean will hurt someone else in the process then let it be. Work at forgiving yourself.

There are repercussions you have not mentioned that ought to stop a person from some of these confessions: if you will hurt someone else in the process.

I met a man some years ago who was still suffering from the confession his wife made as she was dying. She felt she had to clear her conscience by admitting that she had had an affair with his best friend. How cruel! To make herself feel better, she destroyed her husband's self esteem and his relationship to his best friend and made him distrust other women he met. I consider that selfish even if the person is dying.
