2. FEATURE: Vision Teaser Technique


Here's a powerful coaching technique you may enjoy:

I have a client who has discovered a dream she would love
to make real.  However, she's not totally sure she can
really have it.  Sometimes it's also hard for us to ~feel~ what it
would be like to have a dream come true.

So on our last coaching call I said: "Hello - may I speak to
the manager?"  She was instantly confused.

"Is this the Manager of Gardens R Us Receptions?"  At this
stage I heard a little giggle as she realised I was alluding
to her dream of creating a unique Wedding Reception business.

"I've been searching everywhere for a reception setting with
the perfect Japanese garden.  And - we want authentic
Japanese music.  I understand you cater for a number of
different styles, and that everything you do is high
quality.This will be the  most important day of our lives - so money
is no object.  No one else comes up to scratch. Can you
~please~ help us?"

She couldn't stop laughing as I placed her in the position
she so strongly wants to have.  Probably to cover her
nervousness at being so close to something she wants so
much.  That day she got a tiny taste of what it might feel
like to actually be living her dream - a powerful motivating
force to keep your clients enthused and on track.


Pick a client or friend who you know has a dream or big
vision - even if they don't believe it can happen (maybe
especially if they don't think it can happen!).  Call them
and pretend to be someone they would interact with when their
vision becomes real. E.g. a famous movie star might get a
call from an agent wanting to represent them, or a producer
wanting them to get a movie.  A successful business person
might get a call from a Fortune 50 company wanting to buy
them out.

Become known as a Vision Teaser!
